FEATURED CAMPUS

Pennsylvania Digital I

LOCATION: CARLISLE, PA
STATUS: UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Located in Central Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Digital I sits on 700 acres, ideally positioned to offer connectivity via access to the largest fiber hub in the world and through the major metropolitan centers of Philadelphia, New York and Chicago. Its physical location and current infrastructure lend itself to a low-impact development. Direct fiber peering to Ashburn, VA ensures access—avoiding the hugely disruptive off-site construction needed to lay additional lines.

Pennsylvania Digital I is currently scheduled to house three campuses with six data centers each, three dedicated substations…. and a switch station with the option to expand an additional 300 acres adding another six data centers and substation. Phase I will feature the construction of 6 buildings delivered together with a switch and substation.

For power requirements, PPL Electric is designing a switch sized for 1.8 GW and a 500kV to 138kV substation. PPL is prepared to provide 150 MW with delivery of the switch station and the first 450 MW substation by late 2026. The Site will also benefit from 80 MW of bridging power from the Cumberland Substation located just south of the Site that will be available within 18 months.
